ISSNIP Research Collaboration Awards (2008)

The ARC Research Network on ISSNIP is now accepting applications for ISSNIP Research Collaboration Awards. These awards are being made available for ISSNIP members and their research teams, to support the undertaking of collaborative research activities with research partners from another institution or industry partner (Australian or International). This program is directed towards research activities and meetings with a view to producing joint publications. Awards are available in separate categories for CIs, early career researchers and post-grad students

 

Amount: Up to $2,500 per person

 

Application Closing Date: August 15th 2008

 

Application Procedure: Send the project description (Max 4 pages) to Ms. Georgi Cahill (g.cahill@ee.unimelb.edu.au), Executive Assistant, ARC RN ISSNIP.

 

The document should contain the following details:

1) Applicant (name, institution, contact details)

2) ISSNIP Supervisor (for student applications)

3) Collaborators (name, institution, contact details)

4) Motivation of the project

5) Proposed networking/collaborative activity

6) Brief budget on how the money would be spent

7) Other funding sources supporting the project

 

Conditions of the Award:

1) Applicant/Supervisor should be a member of ARC Research Network on Intelligent Sensors, Sensor Networks and Information Processing.

2) Projects must include at least one collaborator form another institution.

2) Justification of the budget should be given.

3) Awardees should present their work at the 2008 ISSNIP CIs meeting (December 2008).

4) Funds can be spent on networking activities and visits. Some overseas conference travel may also be funded depending on the quality of the conference and the accepted paper.
