Sensor Net Executive Board

A high level Executive Board, with extensive management and leadership experience will be formed to establish and run Sensor Networks. The Executive Board will approve the Strategic plan presented by the convener, prepared in consultation with the various committees for Sensor Net. The Board will also approve the budgets developed by the respective Sensor Net committees. The Executive Board through the Convener will oversee the execution of the Vision and Strategic Priorities of Sensor Net and will be responsible for adherence to the budget. The Sensor Net Executive Board will guide and support the Sensor Net Convener much as a company Board guides and supports a CEO.

The Sensor Net Executive Board will be Chaired by Dr. D. Nandagopal who is the Director of DSTO's Systems Sciences Laboratory and a highly experienced manager and research leader. The Sensor Net Convenor A/Prof. M. Palaniswami will be a member of the Board along with Prof. M. V. Srinivasan (ANU) and Prof. I. Petersen (ADFA).

Sensor Net Education Committee

The Sensor Net Education Committee will coordinate the education outreach program for around 120 post graduate students directly involved with Sensor Net and will also establish the education outreach program for University undergraduates and secondary schools. The committee will be chaired by Prof. A. Sowmya (UNSW) and will consist of a PhD student, Research Fellows, Industry and Academic members.
