CUBIN

The Australian research Council Special research centre for Ultra-Broadband Information networks (CUBIN) is a Special Research Centre established in January 2000 under the Australian Research Council's Special Research Centres program.

CUBIN aims to be a national and international focus for research into future generations of telecommunications. CUBIN focuses on fundamental theory and practical approaches to the design, implementation and management of ultra-broadband networks.

NICTA

National ICT Australia (NICTA) plays a major role in the Australian Government's policy to promote science and innovation. It is capitalising on Australia's extensive ICT talent through world-class research, commercialisation, education, and industry collaboration.

In June 2004, National ICT Australia (NICTA) together with the University of Melbourne and Multi-Media Victoria established the NICTA Victoria research laboratory. This laboratory is located in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science on the Parkville campus of the University of Melbourne. We are actively recruiting graduate students to participate in our new and exciting  research programs.

ISSNIP

The Australian Research Council - Research Network on Intelligent Sensors, Sensor Networks and Information Processing (ISSNIP) was formed in 2004 to provide an exciting environment for effective collaboration amongst a multi-disciplinary team of world class Australian and International researchers covering all the core disciplines required for the successful development of sensor networks.

The ARC Research Network on ISSNIP is supporting a major national collaborative effort to solve the key underlying scientific problems facing sensor networks and provide the opportunity to exploit and apply sensor network technology in the socially and commercially important areas of security, health care and the environment.
