BE / BSc

The combined degree in Engineering and Science must satisfy the following requirements:

  • 237.5 Science points must be completed, with between 75 points and 125 points of 100-level Science subjects, and a minimum of 50 points of 300-level Science subjects;
  • All requirements of the BE - Electrical or BE - Computer course must be satisfied - a total of 325 points. At least 75 points of the Engineering degree will also count towards Science points (i.e. first year mathematics, physics, computer science subjects).
  • All combined degrees must include 25 points of non-technical subjects.
  • A minimum of 500 points in total must be completed.

Engineering/Science combined degree students are advised to enrol in Science Mathematics subjects. This assists students to meet the requirements for Science points. Some of the topics common to Engineering Analysis and Science Mathematics are treated in more depth in Science Mathematics.

Course plans for the following combined courses are set out below:

Other Science majors with Electrical and Computer Engineering. Students should consult course advisers in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and the Faculty of Science.
