Endeavour2005 Secondary Schools Teachers' Information

Endeavour Adventure

Since 1998, the Endeavour exhibition has been an initiative of the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the University of Melbourne. It culminates in an annual exhibition that showcases final year projects undertaken by electrical, software and computer engineering students.

As part of Endeavour2005, we would like to invite students from all secondary scools in Victoria to participate in Endeavour Adventure, a program aimed at increasing interest in science, technology and innovation amongst secondary school students. The program provides students with the opportunity to attend the final year project exhibition where they can view demonstrations, interact with project creators and discuss university life with current tertiary students. It includes organised tours of university facilities, a special guest speaker address and a free lunch for all students on the exhibition day.

In addition to this program, Endeavour2005 offers other benefits including possible presentations at your school by Endeavour student representatives and involvement in an online schools competition.

Ideally, participating students should be in years 10 to 12 with an interest in Science, Physics and Mathematics, however, all are welcome to attend. We will be able to cater for group sizes of 10 to 30 people.

The Endeavour2005 exhibition will be held on Wednesday, 26th October at Wilson Hall, University of Melbourne, Parkville campus. Endeavour2005 is a non-profit initiative and attendance at the exhibition is free of charge. Depending on the acceptance numbers, places may have to be limited.
