Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Melbourne.

Undergraduate

Postgraduate

The Departments research program trains PhD and Masters students. The PhD and Masters by Research degree is awarded based on a research thesis and a small compulsory course requirement.

Research topics for PhD and Masters by Research fall in to the broad areas of telecommunications and signals and systems.

The Department also offers a Master of Telecommunications Engineering that is based on coursework only. Topics covered in this course include; network design, applied queuing theory, internet engineering, broadband networks and mobile and wireless communications.

The Department currently has approximately 70 postgraduate research students and 150 postgraduate coursework students.
