The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering research program trains PhD and Masters students. The PhD and Masters by Research degree is awarded based on a research thesis and a small compulsory course requirement.

We have a Master of Telecommunications Engineering that is based on coursework only.

Research topics for PhD and Masters by Research fall in to the broad areas of telecommunications and signals and systems. The length of candidature is 3 to 4 years for full time PhD study and 1 to 2 years for full time Masters study. Part Time study is also available but the length of candidature is doubled.
