Venue

The Symposium will take place in the Brown Theatre on Level 1 of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Building at the University of Melbourne, pictured below.

The Symposium entrace to this Building is via Wilson Avenue on the campus. The Symposium registration is immediately inside this entrance, pictured below.

The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Building is located on the southern side of the campus. Access is easiest via Gate 10 which is the main gate on Grattan Street. The map below shows the location of the Building with respect to Gate 10 on Grattan Street.

Morning, Afternoon Tea and Lunch

Morning, afternoon tea and lunch will be provided in the foyer area immediately outside the Brown Theatre.

Lunch and the Symposium Reception will be held in the Richard A Newton Room on Level 5 of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Building.

Parking

Street parking in the vicinity of the University campus is generally meter or ticket parking for 4 hours or less. Longer term street parking is available on the northern side of the University Campus.

Underground parking is also available in the University Square Car Park. This car park is usually open for public use. Entrances are on Berkley Street and Bouverie Streets. Public Transport

Public transport is avaialble by tram. Trams travel north and south along Swantson Street providing transport to and from the Melbourne City Centre. Trams along Swanston Street provide a connection to the Melbourne public train system via the Melbourne Central train station which is located at the intersection of Swanston and LaTrobe Streets in the city centre.
