Marcus Brazil - Brief BiographyDr. Marcus Brazil is a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Melbourne. He studied English and Mathematics as an undergraduate at The University of Melbourne, and received a Ph.D. in Mathematics (in the field of Computational and Geometric Group Theory) from La Trobe University in 1995. These days his main research interest is in Optimal Network Design with applications to Telecommunications, VLSI Physical Design, and Underground Mining. Until recently he was a Research Fellow with the Department of Mathematics and then the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Melbourne.
