2005 LEOS/Newport/Spectra-Physics Research Excellence Award As the recognition of research excellence, Masud Bakaul was awarded the ‘best student paper award’ in the Annual Meeting of IEEE Laser and Electro-Optics Society (LEOS 2005) held in Sydney, Australia, during 24-27 October, 2005. The winning insertion was “Hybrid multiplexing towards the integration of millimeter-wave fiber-radio systems in DWDM Access Networks”. The award was featured in FEB 2006 and APR 2006 issues of IEEE LEOS Newsletter.
