High-Capacity Core Networks

These projects aim to explore novel approaches to increase capacity limit and investigate transmission issues for the emerging terabit optical transport networks.

The scope of the research encompasses study of coherent optical single-carrier and multi-carrier (or OFDM) performance, few-mode fibre design, few-mode channel modelling and digital signal processing for few-mode transceivers.
