Signals and Systems
The Signals and Systems (SS) groups all systems theory, control and signal processing research activities within the department.
It is home to a node of a Commonwealth funded Co-operative Research Center (CRC), The Centre for
Sensor, Signal and Information Processing (CSSIP), led by Prof
R. Evans and Prof. I. Mareels, and two Defence Science
and Technology (DSTO) funded research activities: The Centre of Expertise for Networked Decision Systems (CENDS),
directed by Prof. R. Evans; and a node of the The Centre of Expertise
for Guidance and Control (CEGC), directed by Prof. A. Savkin,
UNSW.
The SS has strong links with many international institutions. These include: The University of California, Santa Barbara and Berkeley;
The University of Twente; Technical University Eindhoven; Gent University; The University of Cambridge; Hong Kong Polytechnic University; McMaster
University; Nanyang Technological University; National University of Singapore.
